A Step Toward Energy Efficiency in Kraljevo

Over the past two days, Kraljevo’s New Sports Hall became a hub for citizens, business owners and experts to share ideas on green energy and sustainable development.

The Renewable Energy Fair was co-organized by the City of Kraljevo and the "Novi Put" Association as part of the "Green Energy – Opportunities and Chances" project, within the framework of the "PRO – Local Governance for People and Nature" Programme.

The fair gave visitors a chance to learn more about switching to eco-friendly energy sources and to explore innovative solutions from various exhibitors. Throughout the two-day event, attendees could see practical, real-world examples of green energy that can be used in both homes and businesses. Alongside the exhibits, the program included technical presentations and talks focused on saving energy and finding ways to fund these projects.

Organizers noted that the event was a unique opportunity to show exactly how an energy transition can work. Visitors were also given information on the specific incentives and subsidies offered by the national and local governments.

The fair is part of a larger project titled "Green Energy – Opportunities and Chances," which aims to help the public, private, and civil sectors work together to better use renewable energy. This initiative is part of the "PRO – Local Governance for People and Nature" program, which is  is jointly implemented by the United Nations agencies in Serbia - UNOPS, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNEP, in cooperation with the Government of Serbia, and with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland.
