Advancing Local eGovernance Through Knowledge Exchange and Practical Solutions
The workshop focused on strengthening the legal and institutional framework for eGovernment, improving human resource capacities, and ensuring the sustainability of digital governance mechanisms. Through interactive World Café sessions, participants exchanged experiences and practical solutions related to information security, public policies, change management, and organizational reforms supporting eGovernment development.
Special attention was given to improving administrative efficiency, strengthening open data practices, and enhancing the quality and accessibility of electronic services for citizens.
“By aligning our internal procedures with national digital standards, we significantly improved the way our administration operates,” noted Ms. Maja Kocić, Project Management Advisor from Leskovac, one of the participating local governments. “The exchange of practical experiences during the workshop will help local governments provide faster, safer and more transparent services to citizens.”
The workshop concluded with discussions on sustaining achieved results and further integrating eGovernment instruments into local planning, monitoring and service delivery systems.
The Programme “PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature” is jointly implemented by the United Nations agencies in Serbia: UNOPS, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNEP, in cooperation with the Government of Serbia, and with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland.
